Security - The Unserveillance

At the "Y", there are cameras at the lobby and some hallways, but not at points of entry and the elevator. The points of entry rely on alarms. The person at the front desk, on the graveyard shift, will have to respond to it alone, leaving the lobby unattended.

The lobby camera shows a person going past the desk, going toward the residence area. But they could also be going to the male, female, and staff bathrooms; one of at least two offices; or the elevator. What we don't want to see can be telling, also.

Now there is access from the exercise room to the elevator, due to a wall being removed. This allows someone to completly bypass the lobby camera.

While in the shower, I hear someone behind me say "see" I turn around to see a janitor, that works for Carinos standing there holding the curtain open and looking at me. I ask him it there is someting in the shower her wants, and he responds "no". When I exit the shower I go to my room to completely dry off, and see the resident from 230 in the hallway talking to the janitor. Once dry I return to the bathroom and ask the janitor his name and he tells me " they call me jos (sic). I ask him why he was looking in the shower, he responds " I was looking for soap". Taking this to mean he was checking that there was soap in the dispenser, I ask him it her always checks when there are people in there. He says nn. Seeing this is not going far I return to my room finish preparing and leave. When I get to the library, I do not have a floppy disk that I put in my bagpack before leaving the library on Thursday evening. When I arrived at my room Thursday evening I did not go out again. The only time this could have been taken was Friday morning. Was Jose a distraction?

IN & OUT

Instead of something being taken from my room, today, for a change. I see 2 Time magizines left on my bed. This can also be a detriment. What If they decide to leave something stolen. Or worse, Elvis' frozen body. Or worse, a thawed out Elvis.

Diversions

Saw two ladies on the 2nd floor waiting for the elevator.

Gotta WATCH other people too. Not Just Japanese. Floor hoppers come in all shapes, sizes, colors, etc.

But then I'm use to some staffs practice of orchestrating what I have termed "vignettes". These little machinations are designed to elicit a reaction, or to see if one reacts.

At least I haven't been seeing young girls being escorted or deliveredto mens rooms, by older women, looking motherly.

MENS CLUB

WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO HAVE A PRIVATE MENS CLUB AT THE YMCA?

1:1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ: 1:2 Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied. 1:3 Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints. 1:4 For there are certain men crept in privily, even they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. 1:5 Now I desire to put you in remembrance, though ye know all things once for all, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 1:6 And angels that kept not their own principality, but left their proper habitation, he hath kept in everlasting bonds under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, having in like manner with these given themselves over to fornication and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire. 1:8 Yet in like manner these also in their dreamings defile the flesh, and set at nought dominion, and rail at dignities. 1:9 But Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing judgment, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. 1:10 But these rail at whatsoever things they know not: and what they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason, in these things are they destroyed. 1:11 Woe unto them! For they went in the way of Cain, and ran riotously in the error of Balaam for hire, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah. 1:12 These are they who are hidden rocks in your love-feasts when they feast with you, shepherds that without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn leaves without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 1:13 Wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness hath been reserved forever. 1:14 And to these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones, 1:15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have ungodly wrought, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaketh great swelling words), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage. 1:17 But ye, beloved, remember ye the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 1:18 That they said to you, In the last time there shall be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts. 1:19 These are they who make separations, sensual, having not the Spirit. 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 1:22 And on some have mercy, who are in doubt; 1:23 and some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 1:24 Now unto him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy, 1:25 to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, and now, and for evermore. Amen.

COUNTING SHEEP

YMCA SLUMBER PARTIES

It's summer again and the YMCA is hosting slumber parties for the kiddies.
This is when dilligence is warranted. This is the perfect "set - up" for the honolulu smoke screen. Easy for floor hoppers to slip in among the crowd.

And guess who was on post last Friday when slumber class was in session.

Old Mello Mel. Yes the one who catches all creepers in. Could this have been the reason for the two incidents that were so efficiently handled by, you guessed it Mello Mel.

Good to keep count if you're watching. How many come in? How many come out.

The good thing is the kiddies were housed in the activity room in the lobby area, not the one by the elevators or way back by the basket ball court where the fire exits are located.

Especially, since there is a new policy in effect, that residents can use the fire exit by the elevator to go upstairs as well as down stairs. Some even leave the door ajar after exiting. Hope this is not in violation of safety rules.

Super Mel

On Friday morning I hear a womans voice on the 2nd floor and poke my head out the door to sea a "floor hopper" walking casually down the hall. I call the front desk and inform Mel, who later tells me he has advised her about policy. Is this getting a little too consistent?

Visitors

June 5, 2007

While walking in the hall, I hear playful sounds coming from the opening at the end of the hall. I go to see what, and see 6 people on the walkway above the garage where classes are held. It is after hours, so I ask the front desk if there are still people up there. I am informaed by Mel, that the dance class has left along with the instructors. He sends someone to investigate and finds what I am told are 6 Japanese tourists. I am told they are escorted from the premises. Good work Mel!

Keeping It Real

You can’t champion equality for your own people when you tolerate discrimination against any people because of who they are. Freedom is indivisible. You cannot grant it to some and deny it to others. It is either for everybody or it is for nobody. -- Christine Chavez, UFW

Sightings

A woman runs from the front desk area to the elevator and goes upstairs. By Mel's quick handling of the situation, Bob is notified and she is escorted back downstairs. Good work. But, I must wonder. What if she had not gone to Bob's floor. And what if, like so much in Honolulu, this were a staged event, to test the waters so to speak. She could have been in any room, on any floor.

Still Missing

Today I find a dollar missing from my pants pocket, last worn the night before. Evidently, someone has a key or they are being lent one by staff.

Police report to come. But, as you may see from other posts, the Honolulu Police Department is trying to let me know that what I report doesn't matter.

BEWARE! Protect The Children.

A word of warning to YMCA'S, and Boys and Girls Clubs etc. I recall hearing about a bank robber named Willie Sutton. When asked why he robbed banks, Willie replied, " That's where they keep the money".

We've all heard about the Catholic scnadals. I hope we haven't become less diligent at other institutions. A more hands on approach is needed.

The sophistocation of people today, of the ilk that would take advantage of children, leads me to beleive they are well aware of the residual effects of "Hearts and Minds.

Old Tricks - YMcA

Yesterday,I saw something that reminded me of the goog ol',BAD ol' days at the Willian C. Macket Memorial YMCA.

A female comes in and goes past the desk. The clerk, Richard is too "busy" to ask to see a key. A male follows. The clerk is too "busy to ask to see a key.

The female goes to the elevator and has a conversation with Big Bad Bob, the security guy. Evidently, Bob has knowledge that she is a resident.

Meantime, the guy ducks into the bathroom. When I enter the bathroom, the guy is standing there, "passing time". When he sees me, he exits the bathroom and goes to the elevator too. I guess, Bob also has knowledge that the guy that was hanging out in the bathroom, is also a resident.

When I inform Bob that the guy was loitering in the bathroom, he tells me that I should follow him and see where he goes. This is after the guy has gotten on the 1 elevator. I think Bob needs help with his duties, not to mention the clerks.

The clerks seem challenged to talk on the phone and pay attention to people proceeding past their station toward the residents elevator. This also brings back memories of clerks behavior that facilitates probable deniability - head bowed, back turned, engaged in mind clouding conversation with another person, or just catching a few Z's.

I'm waiting to report the fiasco, I witnessed with a guy teaching "Roman Dancing" in one of the rooms. Ladies making the same "dance" moves, over and over. Doing as much talking as "dancing".

This guy even had a studio on Kapiolani after building his clientele at the YMcA. I wonder where he is teaching "Roman Dancing" now.

Ever heard of such a thing? "Roman Dancing?"

What A Pleasant Surprise

Seems Tony, the clerk on duty at the time I returned the key, did not realize who was returning it. I remember, he did have his head down when I put the key on the counter. I will leave this until next Friday in case someone, unbeleivably read the preceeding post, which will be deleted. But so much I have experienced here in Hawaii has been orchestrated. Such synergy here that can be used for various reasons - railroading and the like. But in any case to effect some outcome that is helpful to the orchestrators.

My Time At Honolulu William C. Maacket Memorial YMcA

Honolulu - William C. Macket Central YMCA: The Hokum Just Keeps On Coming
Febrary 5, 2007

Today at 7:30 the 2nd floor bathroom is locked, with a sign instructing those on the 2nd floor to use the 3rd floor bathroom. When I return and begin to dress I find that papers and a phone card I had in my shirt pocket are missing.

I call "Honolulu's Finest", that's the police department to make a report. When the officer K. Nishimura arrives he begins nicely enough, then when I ask questions, things take a turn for the worst. The Honolulu Police Department does not like questions from the public.

This is a phenomenum that pervades Hawaii's official agencies. Nishimura begins to accuse me of being uncooperative, and in the attitude of Officer Kehele and the other at the check point and the first officer to respond to my call about the bowl missing refuses to take my report if I do not agree with any procedure he initiates.

I will go downtown and try to report this without further hinderance. P.S. Before my attempted report to Officer Nishimura, he asks for my identification and begins to call it into the walkie-talkie he is carrying.

I ask him why he is doing this and he says he wants to make sure that I am who I say I am. Not in the previous 4 times I have made a report to the Honolulu, P.D., did anyone ask for my I.D. and call it in i.e. run a make on me as the victim or the one reporting a possible crime. But then this is not the first time the HPD or other official agency in Hawaii makes arbitrary decisions.

No Children At The YMcA

Thursday, February 01, 2007

I am told, no children are allowed to stay in residence at the YMCA.

Corey Childs once stayed at the YMCA, around 4 years ago. But could this be? The YMCA says, one must be 18 to rent a room there. And that would mean that Mr. Childs was only....let's see, only 13 or 14 at the time.

I am told by YMCA Desk Clerk Maintenance will swap out your key with an old one taken from a room that had it's lock replaced. I am assured by the manager of the desk it will not be a swapped out key but a new lock and key.

The maintenance man "changes" the lock. I notice it is the same key I had for the previous 4 yrs. I ask for another change. This gives me another lock and key, different this time but the key doesn't look new.

The reason for this is I have noticed inconsequential things missing from my room. Finally I report a bowl missing this past Saturday. Could this be a build up to something Bigger? Something more valuable than a bowl. Never did the culprit touch a radio, 3 suit cases (small, medium, and large) a bicycle, CD player, tapes and other things of more value than what was taken.

P.S. There's a new "floor hopper" on the 5th floor. Can anyone spot her?
